so you decided to give tanking a try. Maybe you're torn between juggernaut or marauder. Maybe tanking is something you have always wanted to try but were afraid. Maybe you are sick of dpsing in previous games and want to try something fresh when SW:TOR is released. Whatever the reason, I hope you find this guide useful in starting your tanking career. This guide is meant more for new players just getting into the role of tank. Those with a lot of experience tanking, feel free to chime in with advice of your own. FYI please be kind as this is my first attempt ever at a guide.

Let me start by saying, that tanking isn't for everyone. I say that because:

1. You may not find it enjoyable
2. You need to be thick skinned and be able to take criticism and insults that will come when the group wipes(even if its not your fault)
3. It's not pew pew dps
4. You have a lot of responsibility.
5. You need to have constant awareness of your surroundings / healers mana / the fight mechanics etc etc

Today,Our Spy ( Lord Basil ) has delivered to us the whole list of the playable Races and what classes can choose someone to play .As our spy inform us bioware may change this combination before release and more races may be added.

BEYOND STORY - The End Game , What will keep you here 18 months after launch ? -

All stories come to an end.

The developers continually make the comment, "Go back and play another class after you get done with the one your playing."

This to me is very worrying, I mean, What !?! You mean you want me to start over !?!

What if I don't want to play another class ?

After dumping X number of months or years into a Class, going through the grind, and finally getting my character to where I want him. You want me to start over and play some other class from day 1 ? Hanging out with newbies, because all my friends in the class I just left are too high level to group with is not my idea of fun.

Sorry, but No ! Where is the END GAME ?

I want to continue the story of my character and only get better and live out new adventures ! Not quit and start over.

This is the major problem with Theme Park MMOs, at some point the content ends.

Imperial Agent: Extreme Conditioning

Smuggler: Many Deals Gone Bad

Trooper: Extensive Endurance/Fatigue

Bounty Hunter: Won't need one with a jetpack, but
let's pretend they don't all have jetpacks!

Time is Money (not using the wow term)

Force User: I'm sure if you spec right in a AC, you will be eligiable
to get some kind of sprint ability like Force Sprint, but I know some of you
will want names.

Sith Warrior/Inquisitor: Deathly Fade

Jedi Knight/Counsular: Speed of Light (can't really think of one her, help me)

If BW gives each class the chance to get a Sprint ability in a AC, their names will probably
be along the lines of these
