Which class?
Can someone give me a basic idea of what each class is like? I.e.
IA snipers are really good dps, have a lot of CC and are in demand for groups. Etc.
Thanks!

Alien Conversation Subtitles
I've been unable to figure out where in my settings this can be changed, and I'm wondering if anyone else has come up with this problem and knows how to fix it. Within the preferences window, there is an item that can be checked under the section labeled "Conversation" however it only pertains to non-alien dialogue, and is already turned on.
Coincidentally, toggling this non-alien option on or off has no effect on the alien dialogue.
Please help by replying to this thread. Thanks.
Just finished my class storyline. What next?

Whirlwind, why there should be the option to have it instant
So yeah, Assassins/shadows.. all the same. All melee.
Now because of the way we are designed being near targets is basically essential. However, due to our stealth abilities we come together in an excellent package to ninjacap, or otherwise defend a node.
But now we lost our only instant ranged cc ninjacapping against anyone that actually thinks about how to handle against an attack, ninjacapping has basically become imposseble.
Whirlwind will always be interrupted, cc'd on, or otherwise evaded because it has a cast time.
Getting this cast off is practically imposseble because it is the only cast we have that is worth interrupting to others. Hence it will be, every single time.
Whirlwind has because a useless ability for the assassin. It's too easy to interrupt.
And if it can't be interrupted, it will be line of sighted.
There is no way you can get off any whirlwinds anymore that are actually valueable for the team not to speak about the fact that any experienced player will not allow you to ninjacap anything with it anymore.
There is no thought to choice of action anymore by the defender other than to stay the hell away from the capture node to prevent being combat stealth-maze capped.
Give us the ability to talent whirlwind instant again, or else you might aswell completely redesign it as right now it's completely useless in PvP.

Warzone Queue: Time to Revisit
1) matchups - by this I mean very strong groups facing weaker groups. If you thought bolster was going to fix this you were sadly mistaken.
2) Pugs vs Premades - I think a large part of this falls back on #1. Fix one and you will probably fix the other.
3) Warzone quitters - No blame here, simply stating the problem. Which fyi is a direct effect of #1.
4) Back fill - which by definition is a product of #3 and a result of once again #1.
5) Warzone choice -
I dont think there is a real clear cut choice on how to resolve the issues. Sometimes the ideas we come up with are as bad as the problem your fixing. There has been plenty of discussion about quitter debuffs and back fills. What it has come to show me is that we the players cant even come to a consensus.
Here is a option that I suggest we discuss. If it has merit then maybe we can get Bioware to see reason and implement it.
Beware. I think we have to think outside of our comfort zone and see all the effects any change will have. Sometimes we may need to sacrifice one concept to save the greater whole. In this example, I suggest we do just that. So be warned, This idea will reduce the number of warzone pops to 3 per hour. And I'll explain why it is very important to do so, and why in the end it will have a positive impact. So here me out first before you crucify me or the idea.
One of the advantages that we have been able to have over the last year since server merges have been fairly quick pops for warzones. Minus the bugs of course, most warzones pop within a few minutes. This is also the root of all our problems. You have to understand that the system is simply finding the first 16 players to put into a match and then pops so those players can get into a warzone ASAP. That same system is also preventing Bioware from developing a match making system. Because if you havent noticed some classes with the LFG dont get pops very often because of this same mechanic. So I suggest we make a change and one that is going to create the best pvp experience EVERY time you enter into a warzone. Here is the basic concepts
First we are going to remove this separation between ranked and unranked warzones. For now, all warzones are created and treated equally. I'll explain rewards a bit later but for now understand there is no unranked or ranked warzones. There are simply JUST warzones.
Warzone queues will happen every 20 minutes. This gives the warzones enough time to complete and players the opportunity to requeue before the next warzone. For instance we will say warzones pop on the hour, 20 after the hour, and 20 till the hour. (ie 12:00 - 12:20 - 12:40 - 1:00 - 1:20 - etc) Now this makes every available player in the queue at the same time. This means the system can build groups based on certain criteria.
Next, all players are awarded a ranking. At level 10 you start with 500. Every win increases it by 50. Any loss, or quit, results in -10. The level 10-29 bracket will have a 0-2,000 cap. At level 30 you will carry your ranking with you but now the cap will be between 0 and 5,000. The level 55 bracket will carry over and cap 0 to 10,000.
Ok now without getting to specific on the details, the system will then group up players based on their ranking. If you wanted too you could have class requirements like atleast 1 healer or atleast 1 tank, though I would suggest that could be implemented down the road rather than right away.
You can also queue with any group size 1-8. Have 7? queue up and you'll get a solo with you. Have 3 or 5 or any number of players between 1 and 8, and you can queue. Any group that queues will take the average ranking of the group members to place that group.
Now is where we make magic. At 2 minutes before pop, the system will send out the invites, which will show your 8 group members, each of their rankings, and the most important, your groups ranking. Thats right your total group scores are added up and every queued group is giving a ranking 1 thru whatever. Then your matched up against the rank next to you. Rank 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, etc.
The benefits to this system is that you ARE going to be queued WITH AND AGAINST players of equal ranking. And that score over time should also equal skill. While you may only have 3 matches an hour, thats 3 matches that are going to be fun competitive matchs (or atleast more enjoyable than the current system)
Rewards will be just like they are in unranked except will add in ranked comms for
5 per medal after 8 capping at 16 = total 40 ranked medals
20 for wins
thats capped at 60 ranked comms and 140 unranked per match. +1 ranked comms for MVP
Final thought - Extra queuers.
For those final queuers that didnt make a full group or warzone, huttball, no faction limit, no max people. This means you could be thrown in against and with your own faction and enemy faction, and you could have unlimited players. laggy, yeah but could be interesting for those who queue after the queue limit. Imagine joining a match with 30+ players, or one that has only 4 players. No groups allowed to enter. The warzone will continue to pick up straggler players until it is over, and then everyone is waiting for the next queue rotation.

Jerky camera and movement ingame
I have been having an issue when trying to play swtor. It seems that the camera and movement of my character ingame has been really jerky. I'll move the the camera slightly to the left or right, and it just jerks a complete 180 almost. My machine runs the game, and others, at 60 fps easily with vsync enabled. But the I'm only having the issue with this game in particular. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if they have found a fix action for it. I would greatly appreciate your inputs!
I do keep my drivers up-to-date, to include beta drivers.
Undying Rage needs 3 minute cooldown
With healers being incredibly strong right now, it's very hard to kill a marauder in a ranked game.
That many defensive cooldowns and high dps AND group utility (Bloodthirst and Predation) are just insane.
When will this class finally be hit by the nerf bat?
Phase Walk, 2 things that should be taken care of.
Hello my name is Exilove. And I play a Sith Assassin for the guild White Noise on ToFN.
I have 2 remarks on the current way of how Phase Walk is working.
Firstly, I think it should have a Range indicator. Or simply not be usable at all when out of range.
It might sound a bit noob-proof, but really.. missing your phase walk by a few inches or being unsure about using it just because you're fairly far away is just an unneccesary hassle. Especially seeing the importance of the ability working, it going to waste like that just shouldn't happen.
Secondly, I think we should have the ability to remove and reposition the originating teleport spot without triggering the cooldown.
Because ask yourself.. why can we not just refit the location without engaging the cooldown if we otherwise would have the ability availeble anyway? It's kind of gimmicky without real need to be.
That's it for now, thanks for reading.
