[ Swtor Related ] At Spike TV’s 2011 Scream Awards , iconic Star Wars villain Darth Vader won the Ultimate Villain award. But even someone as villainous as the Dark Lord of the Sith has fears — of his creator George Lucas and his tendency to digitally revise cinematic history. As the heavy-breathing black-cloaked Sith lord came out to accept his award, he expressed his worry about Lucas, saying he could “digitally enhanced you in the DVD release.”

That’s when Lucas come out on stage ( 03:05 minute of the video below ) , surprising Lord Vader, who quickly tells his creator how happy he is to see him. Lucas goes to give Vader the Scream Award, but psychs him out, holding the spiked object just out of the helmeted Vader’s view.

It is scripted first in text of course, but with games like Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect and Dragon Age behind them, piece of cake!

Gamers who enjoy the Star Wars movies and world but aren’t necessarily avid fans need not fear that their lack of knowledge of all things Star Wars will hinder them in the game. TOR is set about 3,000 years before the movies or Clone Wars. It’s not that the Sith Empire is based on the movies, Palpatine’s empire was based on the ancient Sith Empire! “Just watching the trailers will get you up to speed,” said Lead Designer James Ohlen, “But there will be Easter eggs for fans of KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) to find in the game.”

You are planing to Play Swtor and you haven't read these books then you are missing out on one of the best star wars series ever. To be honest, this is the best book trilogy i have ever read. The books are so eventful and enticing to keep reading, after reading the first book within a day i sat down and read the other two in a few days, if you love reading, and star wars these books are seriously great.

Drew Karpyshyn has also been a writer for many games, such as Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, Knights of the Old Republic, Baldurs Gate, Jade Empire and Neverwinter Nights. After being a writer for KOTOR he then wrote the first bane novel.

Some words about the Books. The first book is where banes life is full of anger and hatred, so he goes down the route of the empire and then gets to the sith academy of korriban, but he doesnt like their ways of the sith so he acts on this. In the second book bane finds his apprentice, a girl named Rain, he then takes her on and trains her, and bane carries out a search for sith holocrons which store information from wise past sith leaders.

The previus Thread was closed by a moderator due of 1000 posts issue and he opened a new one . The major problem with these statements is EA's CEO didn't clearly explain his thoughts of what Microtransactions he meant or if swtor will have Microtransactions.

There are many type of Micro-transactions ,some of them affect player game ,some of them not.for example, items like special looking rings-earings ,dresses,mounts that do not give any extra stats, XP gain, etc and they are only cosmetics i don't think there is any gamer in the world that is against them.

Οn the other hand there are the items that change stats, XP gain , fire power , armor defense .these items used a lot in free to play mmo games and they the reason that free to play many times cost more than these mmo with monthly fee.

Sony announced today that will end SWG mmo on 15 December 2011 . I played SWG for years, and what really made the game for me was it was Star Wars, and had a great community to play with. That is what carried me for so long, and when my community left, the game was done for me. Can't believe it will finally be ended, loved that game.

SWG It was ahead of it's time.

* Open world: GIGANTIC worlds, with random spawns and loot
* Open world PVP: Love it or hate it, port into a crowded city only to see a war taking place

AND BEST OF ALL: Superior player customization, from appearance to skills/templates, it was truly unique.

The reality is often tough, especially when excise a beloved game that was your companion for many years .

You've all watched Star Wars (well I hope you did..) I read a few developers posts about the cross-faction talk and the said that it's only enabled in the beta, and its highly likely that it will not be in the finished game.

When I heard about that it struck me, being that I'm a heavy PvPer ,i am also and a heavy socialize gamer that use the chat a lot . Maybe if it can be reconsidered being that Bioware/Lucasarts said they want to make this feel like a REAL star wars experience *, Cross-faction talk in swtor should be enabled. It would really add a sense of reality in the game, especially in PvP atmosphere inside the game.

It's used in everquest , and works wonderfully, and it is not used in Aion and that was a reason that pvp in aion sucks a lot ,because you can see that the enemy speaks but you can not read what he writes

Always ,in pvp games ,a bit of QQ chat is like the alas of pvp and many times the qq after pvp is the reason for the mmo gamers to try more to be better in pvp strategy (swtor = startegy ) , armor - weapons and levels

Although I know there are people who don't PVP at all, wouldn't it be easy to just have an option where cross-faction talk can be disabled in Tor due to various reasons of BAD LANGUAGE in cross-faction talk ?

*In every battle with lightsabers in star wras there was a QQ chat between star wars characters !!!!!!!

May 4 is often known as "Star Wars Day". It is jokingly said: "May the 4th be with you", in reference to the popular phrase in Star Wars: "May the Force be with you."

The phrase dates back to at least 1979, on the day Margaret Thatcher was elected Britain's first woman prime minster. Her party took out a newspaper ad in the London Evening News that said "May the Fourth be with you, Maggie. Congratulations."

Typical festivities consist of inviting fellow Star Wars-obsessed friends to stay over, and then watching the series in succession. Lots of snacks, bring lightsabers and Star Wars-themed toys. Lightsaber fights in the early morning hours optional.

This day is considered an unofficial holiday by Star Wars fans to celebrate Star Wars culture and remember the films.

May 4 is called also as Luke Skywalker (Site Owner's Nickname hahaha ) Day because of the popularity of a common pun spoken on this day. Since the phrase "May the Force be with you" is a famous quote often spoken in the Star Wars films, fans commonly say "May the fourth be with you" on this day.
